Terms of Service
Last updated: July 9, 2026
Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the OratorsBase website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by OratorsBase (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” refers to that organisation.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
The Service
OratorsBase is an end-to-end speech platform for writing, organising, practising, and refining speeches. Features may include a script editor, practice tools, session history, personal content libraries, educational content, and AI-assisted feedback.
We may release features gradually, offer beta or preview functionality, or modify the Service over time. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will be available at all times.
Accounts
To use most features, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us promptly at hello@oratorsbase.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorised use where you have failed to safeguard your credentials.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Your content
Ownership
You retain ownership of the speeches, scripts, recordings, notes, and other content you create or upload to OratorsBase (“User Content”). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
Licence to OratorsBase
To operate the Service, you grant OratorsBase a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, process, and display your User Content solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service — including delivering AI-powered feedback when you request it. This licence ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable backup retention periods.
Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have all rights necessary to upload, store, and use it on the Service. You represent that your User Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Upload content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service except as permitted by law
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Use automated means to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
We may investigate and take appropriate action — including suspending or terminating accounts — if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
Subscriptions and payment
OratorsBase offers free and paid plans. Paid plans, including Pro and Enterprise, are billed according to the pricing displayed at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Free plans are subject to usage limits described on our pricing page
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Prices may change with reasonable notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods
- Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and our refund policy at the time of purchase
- Enterprise terms may be governed by a separate agreement
Payment processing is handled by third-party providers. By subscribing, you authorise us and our payment partners to charge your selected payment method.
AI features
OratorsBase may offer AI-assisted tools that analyse your speech content and generate suggestions or feedback. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific context.
You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated output before relying on it. AI features do not replace professional speech coaching, legal advice, or other specialised guidance. Use AI features at your own discretion.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, software, branding, and documentation, is owned by OratorsBase and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no licence is granted to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we will process your information as described there.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will survive.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content — including AI-generated output — will meet your requirements.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ORATORSBASE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OratorsBase from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will take effect no sooner than the date posted unless otherwise stated.
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
General
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and OratorsBase regarding the Service
- If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
- Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale
- These Terms are governed by applicable law, excluding conflict-of-law rules that would require applying another jurisdiction's laws
